Psychological Therapy with a Counselling Psychologist
People usually seek therapy because something is not working anymore.
You may feel stuck in patterns you understand but cannot change.
You may find yourself overwhelmed by thoughts, emotions, urges, or memories.
Or life events may have disrupted your sense of stability, identity, or direction.
Psychological therapy provides a structured space to understand what is happening and to develop meaningful change — not only coping strategies, but a different relationship with yourself.
I am a HCPC-registered Counselling Psychologist offering evidence-based psychological therapy online across the UK.
What I Help With
I work with adults experiencing:
- Anxiety and overthinking
- Trauma and distressing memories
- Low mood and loss of motivation
- Shame and self-criticism
- Addictive or compulsive behaviours (including gambling and online behaviours)
- Relationship and attachment difficulties
- Emotional regulation difficulties
- Feeling stuck despite insight
Therapy focuses on understanding patterns and improving your quality of life.
My Approach
My work is integrative. That means therapy is guided by psychological formulation rather than a single technique.
I draw from:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Schema Therapy
- Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT)
- EMDR (trauma processing)
- Compassion-focused and experiential approaches
- Clinical hypnosis where appropriate
The aim is not simply symptom reduction.
The aim is to help you understand why patterns repeat, and to develop the capacity to respond differently.
Online Sessions
Appointments take place via secure video consultation.
Online therapy allows:
- accessibility
- continuity
- privacy from your own environment
Research shows online psychological therapy is comparable in effectiveness to in-person work for most difficulties.
